Through a semi-structured interview with Leonardo Guelman – professor, writer, researcher of Brazilian art and culture, we started a cycle that will help us to see how to investigate within the field of popular culture and tradition, a construction based on political and empathic engagements weaved in an expanded perspective of knowledge integration. According to Guelman, tradition is language, and no one owns it. Here, we will learn that talking is going around with the other(s) in a non-crystallized space-time, with multiple crossings that are not linear. In this text, based on the researcher's answers, we will understand the territory as a space for dispute, affirmation, expansion of subjectivities and expressions. The teacher makes use of methodologies and horizontal relationships with affection for investigations.
