About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Informação em Pauta (IP) is a multidisciplinar magazine of Applied Social Sciences with Information Sicence, Librarianship and Archiving as it's major areas. It is a free open publication without any kind of tax and with six-monthly periodicity. The magazine is linked to the Department of Information Sciences and to the Post-Graduation Program in Information Sciences at Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), exclusively in electronic format. The magazine publishes original materials with high scientific value and new contributions in Portuguese, English and Spanish aiming to contribute to new perspectives among researches, academics, learners and professionals of Librarianship, Information Science, Archiving and similar areas, as long as they were approved by the Double Blind Peer Review. Informação em Pauta demands originality from the articles submitted and that at least one of the authors has a master or doctor’s degree.
Peer Evaluation Process
This periodic uses the Double Blind Peer Review process, that is, hiding the identity of the authors and the inspectors.
The originals applied to the magazine must rigorously fulfill the criteria below.
Unwilling collaborations will be refused.
Every manuscript applied to publication at Informação em Pauta must be submitted only by electronic means. To apply an article is required a previous register at: http://www.periodicos.ufc.br/index.php/informacaoempauta/user/register

Through this procedure, the authors are able to submit their article and follow its status throughout the whole editorial process. This allows the submission of your manuscript to be faster and safer, therefore speeding up the evaluation process.
Regarding re-submission and reviews, the journal differentiates between:
- Manuscripts that have been rejected;
- Manuscripts that will be reevaluated once the authors implement the adjustments requested.
In case of re-submission, the author is informed that their work has been rejected, and if they wish the editor to reconsider such a decision, they may perform any changes they deem necessary and resubmit. However, it will be a new submission, so the system will generate a new number for the manuscript.
In case of reviews, the author should rewrite their manuscript based on the instructions and suggestions of the reviewers. Then, the author must return the file for a second analysis, and make sure to enter the same number assigned to the manuscript, so that we can inform our final opinion (acceptance or rejection).
Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author so that the text is carefully checked. Changes to the edited manuscript will not be allowed at this stage of the editing process. Authors must return the corrected proofs no later than five working days after receiving them.
The accepted articles will compose the journal numbers according to the schedule in which they were submitted, reviewed and accepted or at the discretion of the editorial board.
Periodicity
“Informação em Pauta” adopts the mode of publishing in continuous flow, in order to publish articles and similar as they are being evaluated and approved by the reviewers of the journal.
Open Access Policy
This journal offers immediate open access to its content, following the principle that making the scientific knowledge available to the public free of charge, provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.

Articles Processing Fees
The journal, Informação em Pauta (IP), does not charge any article processing fees, neither charges fees for the manuscripts submitted for evaluation, review, publishing, distribution or download.
