"Casa tomada", de Julio Cortázar: o fantástico como representação política e social
Abstract
The referred article consists in a fragment of the scientific research “Reading, Literature and Dialectics: dimensions of the literary system applied to the reading of contemporary fantastic short stories”, supported by FAPESP. The study intends to discuss questions concerned to the aesthetics of reception of the Latin-American fantastic literature, under the theories of Candido (2000, 2006), Iser (1996), Barthes (2012, 2015) and Eco (1985, 2002), as well as Roas (2001) and Campra (2001, 2008), specialists in the fantastic genre. The theoretical repertoire allowed the building of the “dialectic literary system”, which analyses the literary text dialectically, considering the text itself as a thesis, the reader’s action as an antithesis and the hermeneutic repertoire as the synthesis. Thus, this system was applied in “House Taken Over”, by Julio Cortázar (2019), willing to comprehend how the fantastic genre can discuss epistemological problems related to a political, social, cultural and a historical context, as well as a Zeitgeist, also increasing the ideas concerning our contemporaneity.
