This work intends to analyze the treatment that Gail Fine gives to the question on Platonic forms and Aristotelian substances in his article “Plato and Aristotle on Form and Substance”, in Plato on Knowledge and Forms, Selected Essays, Clarendon Press, Oxford, New York, 2003, p. 397-425. In this article, the author evaluates the candidates of Plato and Aristotle to the category of substance and analyzes the performance of each of them in that role.References
