Liderança como Prática Intercultural: Liderança em Projetos Internacionais na Organização Rotary

Epistemologicamente, a noção de prática representa uma forma diferenciada para pensar a pesquisa social e as diversas formas de organizações. Dentro do campo da liderança como prática, no qual nenhuma pesquisa integrou a interação entre culturas, este artigo elabora e discute uma concepção da liderança como prática intercultural, com impactos para a prática de pesquisa, por entender que a interculturalidade é elemento fundamental na orientação de como as práticas organizacionais são construídas e na forma como os líderes tomam e alicerçam suas decisões, agem e interagem. Nesse sentido, realiza-se uma pesquisa empírica envolvendo a liderança como prática intercultural em projetos internacionais na organização Rotary, que representa um campo rico no que diz respeito a liderança e interculturalidade, o que permite o estudo e o avanço no desenvolvimento de uma concepção da liderança como prática intercultural, a partir da identificação e da análise das práticas de liderança em tal contexto. Na concepção trazida, a liderança é uma prática que representa o processo – ligado à presente interação entre culturas – de influenciar uma ou mais pessoas rumo à realização de objetivos. A proposta possibilita um conhecimento aprofundado sobre a liderança a partir de um entendimento integrado das práticas existentes, levando em conta os líderes, os seguidores, o contexto e a cultura do grupo, que envolve a cultura organizacional e as culturas sociais presentes. Implicações são discutidas.
