Aranha por um fio: a cor na construção de sentidos no livro de imagens
Abstract
This article analyzes how a children book builds the narrative only with images. To carry out the research, the object of study was the picture book Aranha por um fio, by Laurent Cardon (2011), published by Biruta. The chosen book was analyzed through its visuality, for this, the research evaluates the construction of the narrative through characters, actions and, mainly, through the use of colors in the background. The theoretical approach comprises studies by Adam (2008), Heller (2013), Linden (2018), Nikolajeva and Scott (2011), Necyk (2007), Oliveira (2008), Ramos (2013), Ramos (2014) and Volóchinov (2018). Through the research, it can be concluded that the author gives linearity and continuity to the story through the rhythm of the images, the repetition of characters in different situations and, mainly, through the use of colors that vary as the narrative develops. The scenary, mostly built in one solid color, helps the reader to understand the meanings of the story, even unconsciously. Furthermore, it was possible to verify that the illustrations provide interpretative possibilities that allow each reader to become the narrator of the story. And the words, even absent, mediate the creation of meanings.
