O REI ARTUR ATRAVÉS DOS SÉCULOS: UMA TRAJETÓRIA DAS LENDAS ARTURIANAS
Resumo
O presente artigo tem como objetivo apresentar uma trajetória histórica das lendas arturianas, desde o século IX até os dias de hoje, levando em consideração a mudança de perspectiva com relação ao rei, considerado uma figura histórica ou herói mítico, na literatura. As aventuras do rei e seus cavaleiros passaram por diversas fases na história da literatura, como a transição do verso para a escrita em prosa, as interrelações entre história e romance, o surgimento do movimento chamado Medieval Revival no século XIX, o desenvolvimento de novas mídias nos séculos XX e XXI, entre outros. Diversos autores, tais como Geoffrey de Monmouth, Chrétien de Troyes, Thomas Malory, Alfred Tennyson, Howard Pyle, foram essenciais para a imortalidade das lendas, tornando-as ainda presentes no nosso imaginário coletivo no século XXI e tema central de diversas manifestações artísticas e literárias do nosso tempo, que adicionam novas camadas de significado a este fantástico legado cultural.Referências
